In solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the Teamsterslocal Union 455. CARGILL is refusing to negotiate with the workers, blocking more than 1,700 workers from work.

Cargill bloqueó a trabajadores de su planta en Fort Morgan tras meses de negociaciones fallidas sobre un nuevo contrato laboral.

A million thanks to everyone who showed up last night to celebrate our victories and recognize our members and our community partners 🎉

It was a wonderful night to elevate the importance of continuing building worker power, together in community!

The 2026 Amigos del Centro Award was presented to Bishop Jorge Rodriguez from the Archdiocese of Denver, due to his outstanding contribution to our immigrant families through the creation of the Pastoral Care for Migrants Committee, where El Centro has been an active member of the committee, creating protections across the Archdiocese, which will be touching thousands of immigrants families, from Denver to Fort Lupton, to the Western Slope.

We are also immensely grateful to our new partnerships which will expand economic power and more institutional immigrant protections through formal collaborations with:

- Archdiocese of Denver
- Regis University
- The Colorado Office of the Attorney General
- Denver Public Schools
- JeffCo Public Schools
- Adams 14 Public Schools
- The Community Colleges of Denver
- The Community Colleges of Aurora

During snow day, El Centro de los Trabajadores was present at Telemundo Colorado, represented by our Executive Director Mayra, sharing about our work and the importance to support immigrant workers during these difficult times.

Today was the final passage at the Colorado General Assembly for the Worker Protection Act (HB 26-1005), after passing both chambers. Now, it is heading to the governor’s desk.

One more step to increase worker rights across the state! Stronger together!

El Centro was present last weekend in the Roaring Fork Valley supporting and learning from our members and the community the struggle of our working class community, fighting for the dignity of housing, where the Cavern Springs Mobile Home Park residents discuss efforts to become resident-owned.
