The Freakshow at The Denver County Fair

Yesterday we wrapped up the 2019 season of the Freakshow I produce at Denver County Fair. Here are some photos from the last day, alongside some after-party fun on the farm.

New this year to The FREAKSHOW we’re proud to announce a three-day appearance from the world-famous GEORGE The GIANT!
July 19th, 20th, and 21 at Denver County Fair: National Western Complex.

ABOUT GEORGE the GIANT:
George the Giant was born different from you and I. Standing at 7ft 3, he is The World’s Tallest Sword Swallower. With his daughter as assistant, he performs such classic, ten-in-one sideshow stunts as:
- human blockhead
- glass walking
- mental floss
- the bed of nails
- eye-hook lifts
- sword swallowing
- stapled human billboard
- feats of Strength
- and more!

All this danger and amazement is presented with cheerful humor in a fun, family friendly, rollercoaster-ride of a show. You’ll laugh, you’ll be shocked, you may scream. But when the ride ends, you’ll be glad you visited.

George the Giant film appearances include “Colossus” in Tim Burton’s FILM "Big Fish." On TV he has been featured on The Tonight Show, Touched by an Angel, The Guardian, The Strip, According to Jim, CNN, The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel, and The Travel Channel.

George the Giant also brings with him rare oddities for The Freakshow Dime Museum, including a two-headed Duck.

Preparing a fresh new look for this year’s Freakshow, Casey and Siara take turns sanding her scissor ladder; Slim Cyborg and Laura break bottles for glass-walking; Curtis drills holes for the new bed of nails; and Nixi adds color and paint—all amid the butterflies and bees in Ukulele Loki’s backyard, urban farm.
