City of Takayama Park

City of Takayama Park

In 1967, the City of Denver dedicated this park to be a living reminder of the warm relationship
between the cities of Denver, CO and Takayama, Japan.

The Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society (RMBS) has been active in maintaining our park over the years, along with the Denver Takayama Sister City Committee (DTSCC). In 2005, the RMBS dedicated a Ponderosa Pine in the park, and a few years later a visiting delegation from Takayama purchased and planted some additional shrubs.
