These lilacs cannot thrive in the spot they are in...the installation of the awning 15 years ago is blocking the needed full sun. These plants are sparse with foiliage as a result.

Just as I feared....I told them the tub was not bone dry, as it was wet the day before (they said it would be fine (I knew better)), the tub was not cleaned of soap scum before application, the vendor did not remove the old flaking coating (he sanded it slightly and painted over it). It needed to be remove completely using chemicals. The vendor did not etch the tubs original glaze using acid. The substrate was not prepared properly. This tub is not salvageable now and any more reglazing will just be a waste of time and money. Sadly, this vendor does not know what he is doing. He painted a tub that had nothing to grip to.
I am going to insist on a new tub. I have health needs and need a reliable tub. I have been here for 30 years, and this tub cannot be fixed now
PS. The mat I was using is made specifically for reglazed tubs...it does not have suction cups...the fact that it left indents is evidence the reglaze never cured

It is with great sadness that I announce, Taylor Berry, a long time- former resident of Courthouse Square, has passed away after a long illness. A memorial service is being planned, and notice will be posted here on this web page, and in the lobby after details are worked out.
Taylor often entertained at the resident community gatherings as the lead vocalist and harmonica player for the Blues Brethren Band. Taylor was also a long sitting Sergeant-at-Arms for the Resident Council and contributed greatly to our community for well over a quarter century. He will be, and has been greatly missed. RIP old friend!

Tub was refinished today...but I am concerned with the application, as the substrate was not bone dry: I showered yesterday, and I told them that. But they insisted it will be ok. It looks great right now...but I suspect, that due to the fact the tub did not dry for several days before application, that bubbling and peeling will follow...we'll see...I will treat it with kid gloves, but I have no control over a bad application. Hoping this holds up for the expected 10-15 years...fingers crossed
Update: bubbling in less than an hour, indicating inadequate substrate preparation
