It was great meeting with subject matter experts from Colorado Rural Electric Association at United Power Inc. to discuss a number of issues related to our electric power sector in Colorado.

It was three hours of collaboration, but I could spend three days learning even still just a fraction of all the good work they do and how they do it.

Colorado’s electric co-ops really do get it right!

I drove out to Milford, Utah last week to tour Fervo Energy’s Cape Station, their cutting edge geothermal energy generation station. Fantastic technology and operation. Can’t say enough about the potential here. Colorado has significant geothermal energy potential and for workers, the transition from Oil & Gas fracturing operations to this operation is quick and easy. This is a great solution to offering “ALL OF THE ABOVE ENERGY” to Coloradans. So, bring the geothermal generation to Colorado! And keep the Oil & Gas going! Have all the solar and wind you want. Burn the coal! And let’s get some Nuclear energy going as well! But let’s at LEAST add another great sustainable clean energy source to our portfolio since our bad policy is squashing O&G.

Hometown means a lot to me! Hometown doesn’t require politics, just being a good person. If you’ve lived in Johnstown, Milliken, or Berthoud, you’ve shopped at Hays Market. If you shopped at the Johnstown Hays, you’ve probably been helped by Danny. My comment on their post says it all. Danny has worked at Hays my entire life, and he is absolutely something that represents what I think of when I think of “hometown”. He’s a shining example of commitment, loyalty, and hometown. People like Danny are who I remember as your Representative.
Today I’d like to salute him! 🫡

48 years may seem like a long time to most people, but not for Danny Quintana.

“Time flies, it doesn’t feel like I’ve worked here for that long” is the response DQ gave, when asked how it feels to be employed at Hays Market for 48 years.

Danny is an extraordinary individual who is the prime example of loyalty, dedication, and commitment. He greets every customer with a friendly hello and hardly knows a stranger. Each day Danny goes the extra mile to ensure the job gets done, and does it with a smile on his face!

Thank you Danny, for all you have done for Hays Market and the community over the past 48 years. We are blessed to know you and have you apart of our team! 🛒🤍

🇺🇸 Today is Flag Day and the Army Birthday. 🫡

I love our flag and all it represents, and I will defend that as long as God and the Army grant me the privilege!

*************
Flag Day is a holiday celebrated on June 14 to commemorate the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777, by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The Flag Resolution stated "That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation."

Long may it wave!! 🇺🇸

*************

On 14 June 1775, the Continental Congress in Philadelphia established a “continental” army that could represent all 13 colonies with the addition of the troops from the three middle colonies. The Continental Army thus became America’s first national institution.

This We’ll Defend! 🫡

From your school boards, town boards, county commissions, and State officials, these are the results of who has been in elected positions in Colorado. Time for a change. Vote for Republicans.

Denver Public Schools (DPS) has operated with thousands fewer students than its peak enrollment in 2019 but it has grown its administrative ranks back to nearly their pre-pandemic level, a Denver Gazette analysis of state staffing data shows.

A long day is finally wrapped up, but it started with a great meeting with a great group of Weld County Republicans at the weekly Wednesday breakfast. Representative Lori Garcia Sander and I were able to talk about our reflections from this legislative session. The good bills, the bad bills, and just the general course of the session. A little campaign talk too!

Bottom Line Question: Is Colorado headed in the right direction in your opinion?
