05/25/2026

Every year on Memorial Day, our members gather before the parade to visit memorials throughout the community and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

This tradition is a reminder of what Memorial Day is truly about: remembrance, respect, and gratitude for the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedoms.

We are proud to continue this tradition each year and stand alongside our community in honoring and remembering the fallen.

From all of us at Storm Engine Company No. 2, we remember and honor those who gave all.

Today is International Firefighters’ Day.

We recognize and thank the members of Storm Engine Company No. 2, past and present, for their dedication to protecting the Derby community. As a volunteer fire company, our members answer the call no matter the time, the weather, or the circumstances.

Whether it is 2AM, a snowstorm, or a holiday spent away from family, they show up. They put their lives on the line so others can stay safe.

We invite the community to join us in thanking these volunteers, those who have served and those who continue to serve today.

When duty calls, we strive to conquer.
