NEXT MONDAY OCOTBER 26th Join us as we mark America's 250th Anniversary with illustrator, author, and Advanced Cicerone, Em Sauter, who will give an illustrated presentation discussing the role of b**r and brewing in American history. Starting from the Pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock (because they were out of b**r!) to the modern craft brewery movement and the b**rs we love today, b**r has been woven through the fabric of American history.

It’s National Friends of Libraries Week, and DPL is celebrating our own dedicated Friends of Derby Public Library, who support our community through advocacy and fundraising.

The Friends’ mission is to enhance DPL’s ability to serve our community and help raise awareness of the Library as a valuable resource for everyone. With memberships, donations, and its ongoing book sale, the Friends of Derby Public Library help fund programs and services that benefit children, teens, and adults alike — making a difference throughout the Valley community and helping DPL better serve its patrons.
