Scouting America is hosting a National Day of Service on November 14, inviting Scouts, families, volunteers, and leaders to improve their communities through projects such as food drives, park and trail cleanups, and neighborly help. The goal is to recognize the value of service, bring more families into it, and encourage a commitment that lasts beyond that day.

To mark the event, Scouting America Outfitters is releasing the Impact365 National Day of Service Emblem, sold at Scout Shop locations or online. Scouts can wear it to show they took part. Those who keep serving can later earn an accompanying Device Pin, which ties the November 14 event to the Impact365 message that service should continue all year.

Empower Your Scout to Explore God's Call with the Pope Pius XII Emblem! ✨

Is your older Scout, considering their future and looking to deepen their Catholic faith? The Pope Pius XII religious emblem is a youth-led, discussion-based program designed specifically for high school-age Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts!
This unique emblem guides young Catholic men and women to explore vocations, states of life (single life, marriage, religious life, and ordained ministry), and Christian service in Church and society.
Why encourage your Scout to earn it?
• Discern Vocation & Ministry: Helps youth examine current issues in the Church and society, reflect on their personal gifts, and discern how God is calling them to serve.
• Youth-Led & Community-Focused: Participants lead group discussions, conduct interviews, complete a ministry service project, and engage in a spiritual retreat experience guided by an approved facilitator.
• Uniform & Scholarship Eligibility: Earns the emblem medal, the official Scouting America religious square knot, and helps fulfill requirements for Catholic Scouting America college scholarships!
Talk with your parish leader, unit committee, or Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting to connect with a trained facilitator, and order the Pope Pius XII Participant Manual from the Catholic Scouting America Store to get started. https://nccsshop.org/product/pope-pius-xii-participant-manual-2026/

Help your Scout take ownership of their faith and discover their life’s calling!

Calling all Eagle Scouts, Scouts, and Scouting families.

The rank of Eagle Scout is earned once and held for life. It does not expire, and you are forever part of our community.

On November 12, Connecticut Rivers Council will honor our 2026 Class of Eagle Scouts and recognize all Eagle Scouts as part of America's 250th anniversary.

The Scouting community is bigger than any one troop or any one year. For more than a century, Scouting has brought young people together, teaching them to lead, to serve, and to look out for one another. And it does not stop at eighteen. Scouting builds America's leaders. Eagle Scouts have walked on the moon, served in Congress, built businesses, and led in towns across this country, including right here in Connecticut. For more than a century, they have helped carry America to 250.

Everyone in our community, past and present, is encouraged to attend.
