I had no idea I had even been nominated, and I don’t know who nominated me or who cast their votes, which makes seeing my name in the paper that much more meaningful.

Congratulations to our Town Clerk Tina Guilford on her graduation from NEMCI! She represented NH well being the only clerk in this years graduating class from our State. I was honored to attend as one of her guests. 😊

Heading to the Memorial Day Parade? Here is what you need to know about road closures and detours!

Starting around 10:00 AM road closures will begin. Crystal Ave (from Hood Commons to the Downtown Lights) will be closed for the parade. East Broadway from the Downtown Lights to Fenway St. will be closed to all traffic. Please try and avoid the downtown lights until the parade has ended.

Directly after the parade, a ceremony will be held at MacGregor Park. During the ceremony, East Broadway will remain closed from the Downtown Lights to Fenway St.

Please check the map below for the best detour routes. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!

Tonight’s Town Council meeting included several important agenda items, including voting on a new Deputy Town Clerk, approving grants/gifts for the Police and Fire Departments, setting new municipal water and sewer rates, and adopting the Fiscal Year 2027 budget.

Unfortunately, an important recognition was overlooked. As a Town Councilor, I want to take a moment to acknowledge our Town Clerk Tina Guilford during Municipal Clerk Week and thank her for the outstanding work she does each and every day. Her dedication consistently goes above and beyond the scope of the job, and Derry is lucky to have her and her staff.
