Please stay updated with the weather! ⛈️

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a system with an 80% chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next two days.

The system is expected to move eastward before turning north toward the northern Gulf Coast. Confidence has increased in both the potential for development and heavy rainfall impacts along the northern Gulf Coast, generally between Friday and Sunday. Specific impacts will depend on the system’s exact track and intensity as it develops.

Residents should continue to monitor the forecast and stay weather aware. Additional details will be shared as forecast confidence increases. Now is also a good time to make sure you’re signed up for SCP Alerts at 888777 or visit scpemergencyalerts.com to receive important emergency notifications and updates directly from St. Charles Parish.
