Hi there 👋🏻👋🏻.
My name is Courtney and I’m the creative mind behind The Curly Crafter. I’m an occupational therapist by day, and a flower preservationist by night.

My favorite thing about preserving flowers for people in all walks of life, is knowing that I’m leaving them with a special piece of artwork that holds such important memories.

My least favorite thing about pressing flowers….. pink roses 🫠😅. Did you know that the color of a pink rose presses into a muted yellow? It’s just so odd to me and drives me nuts. Very few pink roses actually press pink and I do not know why. Where are my scientists/botanists at? Haha.

Some fun facts about me:
🪻I LOVE older adults and specialized in geriatrics for my professional career.
🪻I was born at 25 weeks gestation and weighed 1lb, 3oz when I was born.
🪻 My husband and I traveled to 12 national parks this year (and it’s only September).
🪻I lost part of my vision last year, and it’s what lead me to start The Curly Crafter. Good things really do come from hard times.

I love what I do and it’s because of people like YOU that I get to continue preserving the most special memories ❤️.

Colorful bouquets are SO fun to press. You never know how vibrant the flowers will dry! This bride’s red orange roses pressed a beautiful deep yellow. Isn’t it fascinating?

The purple really popped on this bride’s framed flowers! How cute is the boutonniere frame? They were worn by her 3 son’s during her wedding day 🥺❤️.

I couldn’t pick just one photo to incorporate with this transformation. When this bride asked for a gold frame, I said YES. It looks so good with all the colors from her bouquet!
