HiSET at DMACC

ting the HiSET Program for individuals pursuing their High School Equivalency Diploma. DMACC's HiSET or High School Equivalency Tests provides supports to students in successful program completion through personalized instruction in classes, a career coach team, and academic tutoring. A student attains their HiSED or High School Equivalency Diploma at completion of HiSET. HiSET covers 5 subjects: Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. Students are to take an official HiSET test for each subject. Career Coaches will assist students in signing up and scheduling official HiSET tests. Each Coach is equipped and ready to support students with barriers to attending classes. Coaches can assist and guide students with connecting to community resources regarding transportation, housing, childcare, HiSET supplies, etc. HiSET students are able to access the Academic Achievement Center for tutoring sessions. Tutoring can be set up with guidance from a Career Coach. Once a student is registered in HiSET classes they will be assigned a Career Coach. Students are encouraged to contact their Career Coach if they are unable to attend class or if they are in need of personal advising.
