Saydel High School is pleased to announce Rodrigo Cobian as the head high school boys soccer coach for their inaugural season in 2026-27! The Eagles will take the pitch under Coach Cobian in the spring!

Mr. Cobian is familiar with the high school student body as a HS math teacher and for the past two seasons leading the middle school soccer start-up program as well.

Our Summer Activities Schedule is here! ☀️💪

The schedule below includes all summer weight lifting sessions and school sport practice times throughout the summer.

Summer weight lifting will be ran by a group of coaches and will be provided Monday through Friday.

High School athletes will have two available lifting sessions:
• 6:00–7:15 AM
• 7:00–8:15 AM

Incoming 3rd–8th grade students will have a lifting session available from:
• 7:00–8:00 AM

Please pay close attention to OFF days listed on the calendar.

Summer practice schedules for individual sports are determined by each coaching staff, so any updates, changes, or additional information for a specific sport will be communicated directly by your coach.

We’re looking forward to a great summer of hard work and improvement.

Schools around Central Iowa worked this past year to reduce chronic absenteeism and tardies. We visited Saydel High School to find how they were able to make a difference and take bite out of tardies with a whole school effort. 📈 Huge shoutout to our students for the incredible growth they showed on this year’s ISASP assessments! We are so proud of the hard work, determination, and commitment these students displayed throughout the school year.

Not only did we have students earn some of the top ISASP scores in their grade levels, but we also had over 100 points of growth across Math, ELA, and Science! That kind of improvement doesn’t happen by accident — it comes from showing up, putting in the work, and believing in yourself.

Congratulations to all of our students recognized for their achievement and growth this year. Your effort is paying off, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💚💛
