Thank you to everyone who attended Parent-Teacher Conferences yesterday! We loved connecting with our families and look forward to seeing even more parents and students tomorrow.

While you’re here, be sure to stop by our hallway table to pick up a free book, make a bookmark, and take home literacy and math resources to support learning at home. We look forward to seeing you! ❤️🐯

Last week, our kindergarteners enjoyed a fun field trip to the downtown Civic Center to see The Velveteen Rabbit musical! 🐰 The students loved the interactive show, and for many, it was their very first time riding a school bus! We are so proud of how well they represented Capitol View.

Saturday, October 17 at Water Works Park -- Registration is 9:00 - 9:45am; the event begins at 10:00am

YOU can help raise money for Capitol View!

Our school receives about $30 for every person who:

1. Registers in advance for the One Run.

2. Then comes to Water Works on Saturday morning and signs in.

3. After signing in, participants can walk, run, or cheer!

The event is: Saturday, October 17 at 10am!

Last year this event allowed us to bring in $5,000 to CV from the DMPS Foundation.

This is money we can use for classroom needs, busses for field trips, and more!

*This is our #1 fundraiser for our elementary school.

Please consider registering yourself + 1 or 2 additional people.

Register now and join us for a fun morning supporting our school!

Our first graders wrapped up EL Education Module 1 by putting their learning into action with an exciting “Magnificent Things” project! 🛠️💡

Students were challenged to design and create something useful and helpful for others. They dreamed up ideas, planned their designs, worked together, solved problems, and brought their creations to life!

And their magnificent ideas were AMAZING! 🤩

📚 Storage shelves to help organize our school
🧘 Calming fidgets to help students feel ready to learn
🔢 Number lines to support math learning
🚪 Signs to make our hallways more welcoming and helpful
…and so many other thoughtful creations!
