Join us at CICIL Connection Center on Wednesday, April 15th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in suite 107 of Park Fair Mall for a Lunch & Learn with American Heart Association! This wellness series is sponsored by Wellmark Iowa in collaboration with Central Iowa Center for Independent Living (CICIL).
Thanks to Wellmark’s support, CICIL will be receiving 25 self-measured blood pressure devices to help launch a screen-and-referral program. These self measured blood pressure devices will serve as an ongoing, onsite resource for the community to better understand their numbers and take advantage of this offering.

Join us Thursday, March 26 from 12 PM to 4 PM for an engaging Open House hosted by Iowa Radio Reading Information Service (IRIS) and Central Iowa Center for Independent Living, where advocacy meets community connection. This event brings together local elected officials - including council members, county supervisors, and legislators - for an inside look at the impact of our work. Guests will have the unique opportunity to hear directly from the people we serve through guided tours led by clients, offering powerful firsthand perspectives on independent living and the importance of community support.
