Applications Now Open For Volunteer Generation Fund Grants | Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service The Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (Volunteer Iowa) is pleased to announce applications are now open for Volunteer Generation Fund grants. Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF) grant funds support development and strengthening of the volunteer infrastructure in Iowa through Volunteer Centers.

Central Iowa RSVP has teamed up with AmeriCorps NCCC and the Marshalltown Long Term Family Recovery Committee to coordinate a critical community assessment. There is an immediate need to determine the current unmet needs in the community and assess what will be needed to help homeowners rebuild, especially with winter fast approaching. Senior Corps volunteers and AmeriCorps members will utilize a new app developed by the recovery committee to complete an assessment of impacted properties and households.
