The School Board had our quarterly school visit today and we got to spend some time at Prairieview. This is the first year for this building as 9th grade only, and they are thriving!
Principal Schulte, Asst Principal Drucker, and their amazing team gave us a well-choreographed visit full of info and student experiences. We got to participate in the Friday lunch trivia and spend time in classrooms.
I was lucky to sit in on part of Mr. White's English class and hear about the research the kids were doing to write persuasive papers on a chosen topic. They were so thoughtful!
Thanks for the great time today and "Good Work Out of You, Prairieview!"

This afternoon the Board got a sneak peek of the new WHS auditorium and the ongoing renovations of the old auditorium to new space for the fine arts students. It is a gorgeous, extremely functional facility that will be a place where our students can showcase their talents. I can't wait for you to see it!

We got to see this store at our Board visit to Waterford, right before it was ready to open. The kids took an idea from conception to implementation in a really short time - and figured out a way to help the community around them.

Several members of the School Board spent the day getting an update on current proposed legislation that could affect schools, then visiting the Capitol to speak with some legisltors. While there, we heard an amazing presentation about swim lessons at our Natatorium from some Eason students. These kids should go into public relations - Lieutenant Governor Cournoyer was VERY impressed!
