Our boy came to fight—and left with the belt! 🥊🏆

Ethan Martin stepped into the ring at Guns & Hoses Boxing representing DeSoto Fire Rescue and put on one heck of a performance. His hard work, discipline, toughness, and heart were on full display.

We couldn’t be prouder of the way Ethan represented DFR, our fire family, and the entire fire service. Congratulations, Ethan—you earned this one, Champ! 🔥

Firefighters located one individual inside the structure, who was rescued and transported for emergency medical care. The City has since been notified that the individual later passed away.

Fire departments from Lancaster, Cedar Hill, and Duncanville assisted DeSoto Fire Rescue in the response.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss.

Here we go again!

Proud to be deploying with TIFMAS for another wildland assignment. This time, we’re teaming up with our neighbors at Red Oak Fire Rescue and utilizing two of their Firefighters to staff our Type 6 brush truck and head out to help wherever we’re needed.

This is what the fire service is all about, departments working together, taking care of each other, and answering the call when communities across Texas need help.

Prayers for safe travels, a safe assignment, and for all of the firefighters and resources working across the state. Ready to get to work! 🔥🚒🌲
