Showing up for our campus and our mission! 💙

Recently, the Women of Cisco Michigan Giveback Team spent a day volunteering at our Detroit campus. They helped prep for Detroit Uncorked and logged and inventoried donations for our Clothing Closet, making a real difference in the spaces our youth rely on every day.

Cisco is a national corporate partner with Covenant House, and the Michigan team has been a consistent supporter of our campus and our Sleep Out through peer-to-peer fundraising within the company.

Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time. We are so grateful for this partnership!

A morning of service and a deeper look at our mission. 💙 Recently, we welcomed a group of approximately 15–17 volunteers from the ICSC Center Build Planning Committee to our Detroit campus for a hands-on morning of service.

Organized by Chris Lentine, Associate and Project Manager at Neumann/Smith Architecture, the group took on several projects across campus, including painting an office in the House of Hope, reorganizing storage areas to improve efficiency, and supporting administrative and event prep for Detroit Uncorked.

The morning also included an introduction to our mission, a campus tour, and a chance to learn more about the work happening every day to support young people experiencing homelessness.

Thank you, Chris, for your leadership and dedication to Covenant House Michigan, and thank you to every volunteer who showed up!

We haven't forgotten your leadership and we'd love to see you do it again! Join us at the Sleep Out Team Rally on Oct. 22 for a night of trivia, music bingo, team challenges, and prizes. One team will win a fundraising boost toward their Sleep Out goal.

Being a team captain isn't easy. You rally your people, set the goal, chase the donations, and keep the energy up when the momentum dips. You did it last year, and it made a real difference for young people experiencing homelessness.

A generous team and a transformed clothing closet. 💙

Covenant House Grand Rapids recently hosted a tour and volunteer event with Thrivent Financial, including three members of their Board of Directors. They rolled up their sleeves and helped organize our clothing closet, making it more functional and welcoming for the young people we serve.

We are so grateful for their time, their support, and their commitment to our mission!

Final days to experience Messages of Hope. 🎨💙Our ArtPrize installation closes October 3, and if you haven't seen it yet, there's still time!

Messages of Hope brings together artwork and handwritten words from our young people, paired with messages of encouragement from Amway, LaGrave Christian Reformed Church, and Thrivent. It is a collective narrative of struggle, strength, and hope, and it reminds us that every young person deserves to be seen and supported.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, added a message, and stood with our youth. You are part of this story!

Carolyn Geck, our Director of Development and Communications, recently attended the ribbon cutting and grand opening of CNS Healthcare's new facility in Detroit. 🎗️💙

The event brought together their board, team members, local dignitaries, and community partners including The Children's Foundation and the Detroit Pistons.

Councilmember Latisha Johnson - District 4 shared her excitement, and CNS CEO Michael Garrett praised his team for their ability to serve the community. Covenant House Michigan is proud to have dedicated peer support specialists on site at this location, supporting young people experiencing homelessness.

Congratulations to CNS Healthcare - Michigan on this milestone. We're grateful for our ongoing partnership.

Cheers to an incredible night!!!! Thank you to all who joined us for Detroit uncorked!!🍷🎨✨

It was a special evening with 200+ w**es, strolling dinner from local restaurant partners, live painting from Dave Santia's Art and Soul, and jams from DJ Thornstryker. All in support of youth experiencing homelessness.
