Confidence, skills, and community support. 🎀 Michelle Dunaway, host of FOX 17 Morning Mix, along with Savoix, generously developed and taught a four-week class for the youth at Covenant House Grand Rapids.

Their time, encouragement, and expertise created a meaningful experience that empowered our young people to build confidence, develop new skills, and feel supported by their community.

We are deeply grateful for their compassion and commitment to investing in the future of our youth.

Congratulations to Bella, Rob, and Keyla, our Covenant House Michigan interns who recently graduated from Wayne State University.

Bella served on our fund development team, while Rob and Keyla were on our programs team. Each of them brought energy, compassion, and dedication to our youth and our mission.

We are so proud of you. Thank you for your service, and best of luck in what comes next.

New tables and chairs for a fresh start. πŸͺ‘πŸ½οΈ Thanks to a generous capacity grant from Forgotten Harvest, Covenant House Michigan was able to purchase new tables and chairs for our dining hall.

Creating a clean, comfortable environment for our young people is part of removing the barriers of food insecurity. When our youth have a welcoming space to share a meal, they can focus on what matters: achieving their goals, reaching for their dreams, and building their own independence.

Thank you, Forgotten Harvest, for helping us make our house feel more like home.

A generous donation that makes a real difference. 🍽️❀️

Recently, Jean and Don visited Covenant House Grand Rapids to generously donate brand new kitchen equipment on behalf of St. James Knights of Columbus. Our team truly enjoyed meeting them and was deeply inspired by their kindness and generosity.

Thank you for helping us create a warmer, more welcoming space for our youth.

Final rehearsal before tonight's big show. 🎭

Our cast, band, and production team gathered recently for one last run-through before A Night of Detroit Stars, including Artistic Director John Sloan III, Music Director James Hughes, and Assistant Director Charity Sanders, as well as our stage managers and performers.

The team played together for the first time, tightened up a few spots, and got comfortable before hitting the big stage. Our production team plotted the timing, worked out dressing room assignments, and completed the run of the show

Tonight's the night. Join us at the Sound Board Theater inside MotorCity Casino Hotel. The evening starts at 6 p.m. We can't wait to see you there!

Your Exclusive Look Behind the Scenes of A Night of Detroit Stars. 🎬

Before the curtain goes up this Wednesday, our Covenant House staff and volunteers from WTW were hard at work on our Detroit campus getting everything ready. They assembled Keys to the City (our version of a raffle where every key unlocks a surprise), blew up balloons, and gave us a sneak peek of the prizes waiting to be won.

It takes a village to pull off a night like this. We're grateful for every pair of hands helping make it happen. There's still time to join us. Get your tickets now for Wednesday, May 20 at the Sound Board Theater. πŸŽπŸ”‘

A meaningful Sunday at St. Stephen's Episcopal in Troy, Michigan. πŸ•―οΈ

Father Gerardo invited our very own Melissa Hardy to speak about how the work of Covenant House Michigan is an expression of faith. The lesson that day was about the Good Shepherd caring for the flock, and we shared our mission of providing love, respect, and support to young adults experiencing homelessness.

The congregation responded with incredible generosity, collecting $3,000 to support our youth. We are deeply grateful to St. Stephen's for walking alongside us in this work.
