It was an honor to celebrate 100 years of Simmons & Clark Jewelers, a true Detroit legacy. đź’Ž

Through Detroit’s ups and downs, Simmons & Clark never left. Their dedication to our city and their customers is a testament to the strength and spirit that define Detroit. Congratulations on a century of excellence!

A new chapter begins for Cody High! The groundbreaking of the new Cody High School represents hope, progress, and possibility for our students and families in District 7. It’s a powerful reminder that when we invest in education, we invest in the future of Detroit itself.

I’m proud to share that the Detroit City Council has passed the ordinance I sponsored banning the use of smokeless to***co in all Detroit stadiums and arenas. This is an important step toward protecting public health and ensuring our families can enjoy safe, 100% to***co-free environments when they gather to cheer on their favorite teams.

Thank you to my colleagues on Council, our public health partners, and community advocates who helped make this happen.

The Fast Track PILOT Ordinance we passed last fall is creating real change — helping bring affordable housing to life and revitalizing neighborhoods across the city like Dexter-Linwood. This is what it looks like when policy works for the people.
