Captain Messenio and the 7th Precinct Neighborhood Police officers gathered today with community members at Genesis Hope Church located at 7200 Mack Ave to discuss any concerns, upcoming events, and everything Community! All citizens were able to get their questions answered!

Today the Seventh Precinct NPO officers Met with residents at the Sheridan Place Building at 7501 E Jefferson Ave to discuss safety and conflict resolution. Residents were thrilled to connect with the police and their fellow neighbors on a deeper level!

Today Commander Johnson, Captain Messineo, Sgt. Morrow and the NPO staff made The Commons for a sip and share coffee with Councilwoman Johnson to chat about our community! ❤️🙏🏾😊

Several members of the Human Trafficking Task force came together January 12th 2026, along with Mayor Sheffield, Council woman Calloway, Chief Bettison, Commander Johnson,and several more vital members of Management to discuss the Detroit City Ordinance On Human Trafficking.

Commander Jevon Johnson of the 7th Precinct attended the swear in ceremony of the need District #5 Council woman Renata Miller. Prior to her taking office Commander Johnson worked closely with her and community members, dedicating Precinct resources to address quality of life issues, crime, and neighborhood security. Commander Johnson continues to work closely with Council woman Miller to address any concerns throughout the 7th Precinct.
