Carson Street - Southwest Detroit

ARTICLE: Just wanted to share this article with you all... Carson and Pitt gets credit for its role in some great initiatives that serve youth from all over Southwest! Expressions, Young Nation, The Alley Project, Inside Southwest Detroit and more would have NEVER been possible if it wasn't for the contributions of people on the block in the 90's and 2000's. Ron, Eric Gafford Sr, Eric Gafford Jr, Ben Stallions, Josh, Ben Noe, Damaris Madrigal, Michael Luevanos, Crystal, Monica, Jessica, Mary Luevanos, the Valdez family (Liz, Nyasia), and more. It was fun talking about EXP --> YN... but we do that, a lot. This story had to be "about a person" to get written, but I'm grateful for what the writer honed in on this time. It was the block. And it shows that the "New Detroit" that everyone celebrates didn't just come out of nowhere with a born-on date of 2009+. I'm proud of the stuff that we all did, the environment we did it in, and when and how we did it!

Young Nation builds lasting initiatives by lifting up assets of a variety of cultures/communities.

Anyone know the owner of the Insurance Max building at the corner of Carson and Vernor? Anything going on upstairs at that building or is it available? Just curious.
