The Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program's second session will focus on “Engaging Your Community.” Public policy, architecture, and grassroots activism are most effective when communities advocate together. Collective advocacy transforms individual concerns into meaningful action, ensuring design decisions reflect community voices and create more equitable, people-centered places.
The session is led by scholars Fejiro Asidi of Albert Kahn Associates, Inc., Erica Muldoon, AIA, NCARB of Ghafari Associates, and Daria Guseinova of HOK + ROSSETTI. 🙏
A big “Thank You!” to our Session 2 Sponsors, Automated Logic Corporation, Allor Group, Clark Construction Company, Degenkolb Engineers, Limbach, PEA Group, and Revizto.
This program would not be possible without the support of our generous Program Sponsors, Ghafari Associates & HOK + ROSSETTI.

AI is everywhere—but what does it actually look like in practice?
Join AIA Detroit for a hands-on session that cuts through the noise and gets real about integrating artificial intelligence into architectural workflows. Led by Karl Daubmann and Sara Codarin, this program moves beyond theory, starting with a focused lecture on the opportunities, challenges, and practical frameworks shaping AI in the profession today.
Then, roll up your sleeves. In an interactive workshop, you’ll map out where AI can actually support your work—whether in design, research, or project delivery.
This is a free event, but you must RSVP to reserve your spot: https://aiadcommons_0626.eventbrite.com
