Our 2026 Cruise Ship Season has begun, with the arrival of the Viking Polaris, a world class expedition ship. We will be hosting over 70 cruise ships this season and over 20,000 tourists, who will enjoy the Motown Museum, the DIA, the Henry Ford Museum, and experience Detroit music, food, friendliness, and Detroit style. AquaHacking Binational 2026 Info Session & Community Discussions. 💙 🌍

This event will bring together students, innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate sponsors, and community partners from across Metro Detroit to learn about the seven-month AquaHacking Binational Challenge — an innovation program supporting pilot-ready startups tackling urgent freshwater challenges across the Great Lakes region.

Taylor Mitchell, Sustainability Manager, explains how we are actively considering how the planet is being affected by port activity. We are implementing new policies, creating green and clean jobs, and exploring alternative fuels.

For us, building means implementing policies that consider the environmental health of surrounding communities by decreasing carbon emissions and protecting the Great Lakes.
