Today we had the pleasure of assisting the wonderful ladies of LAVIDA's Youth Council. We showed them how to create a mission statement, program description, ground rules and a slogan that will further compliment their fight against teen domestic violence. :)

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!! The Art in ACTION Youth Summit is Saturday, November 16th. You don't want to miss this outstanding event!

The Art in Action Youth summit will focus on the influence that art has in the areas of civil engagement and racial equity. The hope is to:

1. Engage youth in the history of art and activism in SW.

2. Introduce art programs in the community that are currently working with youth in the different areas. This way youth have somewhere to go to continue their interest.

3. Art Mentor

4. Showcase past/present/future artists in SW in photography, mural work, poetry/writing, dance/music and media/film. http://ow.ly/qp3in
