Ride it Sculpture Park sits along the E. Davison Expressway in Detroit, Michigan. Owned & operated by Power House Productions, the park is open to the public 365 days a year.
Ride It is an ever-evolving experience of art and skateable surfaces, combining elements of skateboarding with public art and greenspace into a unique neighborhood landmark. Past projects include: two distinctive design/build phases with notable skater/builders including Evergreen Skateparks; host to Matthew Barney’s Drawing Restraint 19 event performed by skate legend Lance Mountain; outdoor performances, videos, and music. Commissioned work by artist Nari Ward will transform the park’s eastern edge, with the first piece, G.O.A.T. installed November 2017.
Open every day from dawn ‘til dusk, Ride It provides outdoor space for all ages and diverse backgrounds – social, economic and geographic – to constructively and creatively cross paths.
