Do you think the fire in Maui was caused by delta connected distribution lines? I heard downed power lines that touch brush or tree branches that are delta connected don't immediately trip out like grounded wye power lines do. I heard one guy on NBC say he saw a downed power line starting a bush fire before the major fire started. I know under silly laws, the majority Hawaii's distribution grid is Delta connected just like in California- which also seems to have a lot of fires. Do you think a delta connected distribution system is what caused the fire?

Do you think security cameras should be installed on pylons?

I believe cameras could be a great way to scare off vandalism. Cameras do cost money, and have them installed on every pole/tower would be costly, however I think it would be cheaper then having to build pylons more resistant to vandalism in other ways. Furthermore, the cost of cameras and cloud storage has become cheaper and cheaper over the years. Cameras could also be used to monitor poles right in the office without having to go out into the "field" also saving costs. What do you think?
