From affordable child care and paid leave to health care and economic security, the decisions made at the ballot box impact our families, our communities and our futures.

We don’t have to wait until Election Day to make our voices heard!

Ballot Bash was a movie. 🎉

We are SO grateful for all of our awardees, organization partners, volunteers, and everyone who showed up and showed out in this year’s BALLOT BASH! The community came out to show that Care is On the Ballot, and that the Mamas’ Agenda is especially important to support this November!

We’re grateful to the wonderful Monica Raye Simpson (Monica Raye Simpson) of SisterSong for her electrifying keynote speech, and to detroitaction, Reproductive Freedom for All and Protect MI Constitution for their support!

Congratulations once more to our Voices of Mamas Lifetime Achievement Awardees Stephanie Gray Chang, Sylvia Santana and Erika Geiss, and to our Dorothy Height Catalyst Awardees Mona Hanna and .hassan for their tireless dedication to mamas and caregivers throughout Michigan and beyond!

Mothering Justice Action Fund and Black Art and Activism Fund brought together leaders, advocates, creatives and community members for an intentional space to connect, share perspectives and have meaningful conversations about access, belonging and creating pathways for new voices.

Thank you to our panelists for bringing your experiences, insight and energy into the room — and to everyone who joined us and helped make Day One what it was.

Election season is around the corner, and this is your reminder: mamas’ voices are louder than ever.

A few months ago, hundreds of mamas, families, and advocates came together at Mamas’ March with one message: our voices matter, our votes matter, and our communities deserve leaders who will fight for us.

As we head into this election season, let’s carry that same energy forward. We will organize. We will show up. We will vote for our families, our communities, and the future we deserve.

This movement has always been powered by mamas. Now, let’s make our voices heard at the ballot box.

From expanding access to affordable child care to protecting reproductive freedom and strengthening economic security for families, the Congressional Mamas’ Caucus continues to center the issues that matter most to moms and caregivers.

Leaders like Rep. Adelita S. Grijalva, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, Congresswoman Nikema Williams, and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley are helping advance the Mamas’ Agenda and keep families at the center of the conversation.

We’ve got an important update for our community. Mamas’ March will now take place on April 29!

And this year, we’re even stronger. We’re proud to be partnering with Michigan United because when our communities come together, our voices are louder and our impact is greater. ✊🏾

On April 29, we’ll gather at the Capitol to speak with lawmakers, share our stories, and show our elected leaders the power and unity of mamas and families across Michigan.

This week in DC, we gathered for State of the Mama, a powerful reminder that when the community comes together, change happens. 🤎

Thank you to everyone who showed up in community with us, from the In Her Honor portrait unveiling to the conversations and connections at our community event. Holding space to honor the mothers we’ve lost while uplifting the voices of those still fighting is what this work is all about.

And the work didn’t stop there. On Day 2, we took our stories directly to lawmakers, meeting with leaders and advocating for policies that protect and uplift mothers and families.

To every mama, partner, advocate, and supporter who stood with us, thank you for being part of this movement. Together, we continue to push for a future where every mother is seen, supported, and safe. A major shout out to our partners and the Congressional Mamas Caucus for your collaboration! ✨
