In response to the federal suspension of November SNAP benefits, Fair Food Network is expanding access to and flexibility of its Double Up Food Bucks program:
Double Up earnings no longer expire. They've lifted the 90-day limit so shoppers can use their earned benefits whenever they need them.
No daily earning cap. They've removed the usual $20 per day limit, enabling families to earn as much as they can while shopping for fresh produce.
Frozen fruits and vegetables are now eligible. Shoppers can now use Double Up on frozen options with no added salt, sugar, or oil.
Additionally, a new $40 Double Up Bonus Bucks voucher can be used right away without a SNAP match requirement, offering immediate relief for purchasing fresh or frozen produce. Vouchers are available at participating stores, markets and sites across Michigan.
Both programs aim to keep nutritious food on tables while supporting local grocers and farmers during this period of uncertainty. Families should use their Double Up benefits and vouchers before Dec. 31, 2025, and can find participating locations or assistance at DoubleUpFoodBucks.org or by calling 866-586-2796.

On behalf of myself and the Doors of Success Foundation family, I would like to extend our gratitude to Odis Bellinger and the Building Better Men staff for hosting such an extraordinary event for our community HEROS. A sincere thank you to the Building Better Men Program for honoring me with this award. Thank you for giving me my roses. Once again, congratulations to the other 49 honorees!
The Doors of Success Foundation has been committed to our girls for over 13 years. Unfortunately, we are in an era where young girls’ self-worth has been diminished to a “like” on social media, and they’re creating false narratives in pursuit of views. Additionally, we cannot ignore the alarming rate at which our Black girls are going missing.
As we navigate this new era of AI—where our youth can create digital friends to confide in instead of talking to real people—our work becomes increasingly challenging, especially with limited funding. I started this journey over 13 years ago with a vision to help young girls become successful, healed, and whole women. Walking with them through college, marriage, and beyond has been my unwavering commitment.
Lastly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our dedicated mentors/coaches, community friends, and partners who continue to support us. A special thank you to my family for being there for me yesterday—your presence changed my atmosphere, and I needed you more than you knew. A dear friend said, Love shows up. 💕
