Bringing more opportunities to local businesses takes collaboration, and we're grateful to Wayne County's Human Relations / Business Inclusion and Procurement teams, the City of Detroit Procurement Department, Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD), and the Civil Rights, Inclusion & Opportunity Department (CRIO) for helping make this event possible.

One year in, Wayne County’s Stormwater Management Program is making progress you can see across our communities.

Launched under Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans, the program is focused on strengthening the infrastructure we already have and improving how we manage stormwater across the county.

From cleaner catch basins and roads to better roadside drainage, crews have been putting in the work across our 43 communities.

Detroit PBS is coming back to Wayne County!

Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans joined Detroit PBS and 90.9 WDET for the groundbreaking of the new Fred and Barbara Erb Public Media Campus in Detroit.

Through this collaboration, Wayne County is investing $2 million toward the new headquarters, helping retain approximately 100 jobs while supporting local economic growth, education, journalism, arts and culture.

The partnership will also bring free educational programming and community engagement opportunities to residents across Wayne County’s 43 communities.

This investment strengthens public media and its ability to inform, educate and connect residents for generations to come.
