Good evening, beloved constituents of district one. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared this election season. Now, as I stand humbly before you, having won this seat, I'm committed to championing issues closest to our hearts - fostering stronger police-community bonds, ensuring safety, and promoting transparency throughout our neighborhoods. I take this sacred responsibility seriously. As a mother of 4 amazing children, grandmother of 13, and great-grandmother of one, I understand the urgency of creating safe havens and dependable partnerships with our police officers. I'm driven by a passion to serve and a promise to be the commissioner we need - bridging gaps, forging alliances, and cultivating trust between law enforcement and our communities. Let's unite to build resilient relationships, drive progress, and make district one a beacon of hope. I'll be counting on your trust and partnership in 2026 and beyond.
