Earlier this month, the City of Detroit Office of Inspector General was pleased to have Kelechi Akinbosede represent the office at the State Bar of Michigan’s Face of Justice networking program at Pershing High School and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

The State Bar of Michigan's Face of Justice events offers opportunities for high school and pre-law students to meet with experienced attorneys and judges who practice in diverse areas of the law to answer questions, jumpstart networking, and explore internship and job opportunities in the legal field.

The OIG is committed to investing in our youth and encouraging the next rising stars of oversight! Great job Kelechi! Thank you for skillfully representing the OIG!

Last week, Inspector General Kamau Marable joined the Coalition for Property Tax Justice to inform city residents about the City of Detroit Office of Inspector General and answer any questions regarding the office and its jurisdiction. The Coalition For Property Tax Justice is a collective of several grassroots organizations formed to stop inflated property taxes and the resulting tax foreclosures in Detroit.
