When you are ready, connect with a WIC clinic for resources and support to help you during this time. You can continue receiving WIC benefits for up to six months following your loss.

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💗

This month, we wear pink to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support everyone impacted by breast cancer. 🎀

On October 13th, we also recognize Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, honoring those living with metastatic breast cancer, remembering those we have lost, and standing alongside the families and loved ones navigating this journey. 💗

Breast cancer affects people in different ways, and every story matters. Let’s continue to spread awareness, share resources, encourage regular screenings, and offer compassion and support to those affected.

The Lake Region District Health Unit proudly stands with our communities in Benson, Eddy, Pierce, and Ramsey counties in promoting awareness, hope, and support.
