✨🪨 What an amazing Homeschool Rock Painting program! 🪨✨

A huge thank you to Gulf Coast Center for leading such a fun and meaningful program for our homeschool families! Participants enjoyed painting creative rocks while learning about the importance of mental health, healthy boundaries, and self-care.

Our homeschoolers asked thoughtful questions, shared great ideas, and showed just how smart and engaged they are. The creativity on display was incredible, and everyone left with a unique work of art and valuable tools for supporting their emotional well-being.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of learning, creativity, and community. We can't wait for the next adventure at Dickinson Public Library with the Gulf Coast Center on Saturday, November 21! 💙🎨🌟

Family Playdate Workshop! 🧸

Join us at the Dickinson Public Library for a FREE five-week Family Playdate Workshop designed for families with children ages 0–3!

Enjoy quality time with your little one through fun activities, hands-on play, and opportunities to connect with other families. Each week, we'll also welcome a local community expert to share helpful information and answer questions about your child's growth and development.

📅 Dates: Every Tuesday, November 3–December 1, 2026 (5 weeks)

⏰ Choose a session:
Morning: 10am–12pm
Afternoon: 2pm–4pm

📍Location: Dickinson Public Library

Registration is required, and space is limited! Please plan to attend all five weeks. To register, give us a call or visit our website.

Mark your calendars for the second annual Galveston County History Round-Up! Community members are invited to bring photographs, letters, documents, and other meaningful items for this in-person digitization event! Collection experts will give you tips on how to care for your keepsakes and make sure you walk away with a flash drive of your digitized items! Sign up for our raffle to win some goodies to help you protect your family keepsakes!
Bring family members along and bring your cell phone, and create a short, interactive family oral history interview! The event is FREE, but registration is required. To register, call the Moore Memorial Public Library at (409) 643-5977.

✨🎨 Homeschool Rock Painting is THIS Wednesday! 🎨✨

Looking for a fun way to connect with other homeschool families? Join us at Dickinson Public Library on Wednesday, October 20 from 1:00-2:00 PM for an afternoon of creativity, friendship, and fun!

In partnership with Gulf Coast Center, school-aged kids will enjoy painting rocks, making new friends, and learning about the importance of kindness, feelings, and well-being in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

🌼 Help Us Build Our Community Ofrenda! 🧡

In celebration of Día de los Mu***os, we invite you to honor loved ones who have passed by sharing a photograph of a family member, friend, beloved pet, or someone special. Photos will be displayed on our Community Ofrenda throughout October.

How to Participate:

Bring a photo to the library, and we'll gladly make a copy, or email it to [email protected].

Bring your own frame or use one of ours (3" x 5").

Please do not bring valuable or irreplaceable items. The library is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.

Pick up your photos and belongings by November 7, before 1pm. Unclaimed items may be respectfully discarded.

Together, let's create a beautiful space filled with love and cherished memories! 🧡
