For established, enrolled NextGen clients, some appointments may be available through secure, video-based telehealth.

That can mean less time driving, fewer scheduling headaches, and an easier way to stay connected to treatment when getting to the office is difficult.

Same NextGen team. Same focus on teens. Just a different way to connect.

💻 Ask your NextGen counselor whether video telehealth is appropriate for your teen’s services.

Teen: “I left them on read.”

Translation: “I saw the message but didn’t respond—possibly because I was angry, anxious, overwhelmed or avoiding conflict.”

Digital silence can carry a lot of emotion. NextGen helps teens develop healthier communication and relationship skills.

1 in 10 Pennsylvania 12th graders reported using ma*****na during the past 30 days.

Teen ma*****na use can be easy to dismiss as “just a phase.” But when use becomes frequent, interferes with responsibilities or feels difficult to stop, it may be time for professional support.

NextGen helps teens make healthier decisions without shame, lectures or labels.

“Winner gets $20” is still a wager.

Teens may bet money, digital items or gift cards on video-game matches, fantasy leagues, sports challenges and card games with friends. Because no casino or sportsbook is involved, they may not identify it as gambling.

The setting may be casual. The money and pressure can still be real.

Substances affect teen brains differently than adult brains.

Because teen brains are more sensitive to dopamine, substances can feel more intense—and more reinforcing—at younger ages.

Early use carries higher risk.

Teen: “It’s not that deep.”

Translation: “It might actually be that deep, but talking about it makes me uncomfortable.”

What sounds like dismissal can sometimes be self-protection. Stay calm, stay curious and try again later.

Teens can now watch people wager on the news.

Prediction markets may offer contracts connected to elections, economic announcements, court decisions, entertainment awards and other real-world events. This can turn checking the news into checking whether a wager is winning.

If your teen constantly refreshes event odds, ask what is keeping them invested.
