A flood watch remains in effect for Lane County and much of the surrounding area until 7 p.m. Thursday as widespread rain is expected to continue. While showers will taper off around mid-day, additional rain will redevelop this afternoon. There is a marginal risk that some of these could be severe, with isolated, weak tornadoes and strong, gusty winds being the main threat. The timeline for their development is between 1-8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City. Another round of heavy rain is expected to develop overnight and into Thursday. Make sure to be weather aware!
