Don’t forget to “fall back” tomorrow! Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1.

When changing your clocks, now is also the time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.

Additional Safety Tips:
· Test your smoke detectors and CO alarms monthly to ensure they are working properly.
· Ensure you have working smoke detectors on every level of your home and in every bedroom.
· Each floor of the home needs a separate CO alarm. If you are getting a single CO alarm, place it near the sleeping areas.
· Replace your smoke detectors and CO alarms every 10 years, or sooner, if the manufacturer recommends.

In need of an alarm? The BBAHC Environmental Health Department has free smoke alarms and combination smoke and CO alarms available to residents who need them. Contact (907) 842-3396 for more information.

We hope you have a restful night!
