Tomorrow Night! Join us as we kick off the new 4-H year for our New Member Orientation Open House from 4-6 PM at the Beaverhead County 4-H Building at the fairgrounds. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the 4-H program, explore the projects that are available in 4-H, and visit with club leaders and MSU Extension Staff. We will also be able to register new members!

Happy October!
Today marks the first day of the new 4-H year! Sign-ups are open now; visit our website (https://www.montana.edu/extension/beaverhead/4-H.html) to learn more. Next Friday, October 9th, we will be hosting a New Member Night Open House from 4-6 PM at the 4-H Building at the Fairgrounds. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the 4-H program from Extension staff, club leaders, and current 4-H members. Adults who are interested in volunteering with the program are also welcome and encouraged!

Update #2: All resale hogs are sold. Thank you all for your interest and for supporting Beaverhead County youth.

Update: We have one hog left. It weighs 218 pounds. $490.50 for the live weight cost. You pay processing.

We have 16 resale hogs from the 4-H & FFA Livestock sale that are looking for a freezer. $2.25 per pound live weight + processing. They are at L&S Meats in Dell. This is cheaper than the grocery store and supports our local youth! If you are interested, please give us a call at (406)683-3785 or send us a message on Facebook.

We are just over a week away from Fair, and we would love to see you all at the 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale on Saturday, September 5 at 1:30 PM!

Resale animals are available at the following live weight prices (the buyer is responsible for processing fees):
Beef: $2.75/pound
Pigs, Sheep and Goats: $2.25/pound

ATTENTION 4-H & FFA LIVESTOCK MEMBERS:

Just a reminder of the Mandatory Livestock Meeting this Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at the 4-H Building. We will NOT be having a meeting at weigh-ins this year, so it is very important to attend on Saturday. If you absolutely cannot attend on Saturday, please call the Extension Office or send us a Facebook Message PRIOR to Saturday morning.

The Sand Creek Fire has now breached the top of Maverick Mountain. Our hearts are with everyone being impacted by this tragic event as it unfolds. Thank you to the firefighters working tirelessly on mitigation measures.
