Call Directions

We are a "All Volunteer" Fire Dept. located in Prince George, Va. Our Department runs Approx. 400+ calls a year with 20 active Firemen.

We currently operate 2 Engines, 1 Tanker, 2 Brush trucks, 1 Heavy Rescue, and 2 support vehicles.

🚒 Congratulations, Firefighter Cameron Boyd! 🚒

We would like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate Cameron Boyd on successfully completing Firefighter I and Hazardous Materials Operations, officially becoming a certified firefighter serving Prince George County!

Cameron joined the Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department in April 2025 and has continued to demonstrate professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to the fire service. Throughout both his certification courses and training within the county, Cameron has worked hard, excelled in his training, and shown his desire to learn and become a better firefighter.

What makes this accomplishment even more impressive is that Cameron achieved these certifications while also attending Prince George High School. Balancing school, training, studying, and the responsibilities that come with becoming a certified firefighter requires a tremendous amount of dedication and hard work.

Cameron, thank you for the time and effort you have dedicated to serving your community and bettering yourself as a firefighter. This is an outstanding accomplishment and only the beginning of your journey in the fire service. There are many more classes, certifications, and opportunities ahead of you, and we look forward to seeing what you accomplish next.

This Monday, the members of the Disputanta Vol. Fire Department sharpened their skills during hands-on training focused on specialized extrication and heavy lifting operations.

Training like this ensures our firefighters are prepared to safely and efficiently respond when every second counts. From stabilizing and using specialized equipment to free trapped patients and move heavy objects, these skills are essential for protecting our community.

Anyone wanting to join and help the community, Our meeting nights are every Monday at 7PM.

Within the fire service things are constantly changing, therefore we have to constantly train and better ourselves so we’re always prepared to protect and serve the citizens of Prince George county. Some of the interesting training that happened last month, Disputanta hosted a STICO class (strategies & tactics for initial company operations). We also did training on drafting operations in rural areas when there are not any hydrants in the area for water supply. Additionally, we did rope rescue training with Fort Lee Tower 1 going over rope systems, and high angle stokes basket training. During all of this training we were also running multiple structure fires, brush fires, and entrapments last month. We keep training so we can do our job quickly and efficiently!

We just want to take a second and congratulate Firefighter Rodgers for becoming a certified firefighter and receiving his yellow helmet! On May 26th Firefighter Rodgers was able to use his knowledge on a first-in working structure fire!

This week, as a part of telecommunications appreciation week, DVFD members put together thank you bags and gifts for our Prince George County dispatchers.

We want to extend our greatest appreciation and gratitude for the work these men and women do to keep us safe and responding to your emergencies.

T shirts, Helmet Shields, and gift cards can’t cover the importance and value you all bring to our organization. From the Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department- thank you for everything you all do and continue to do.

Yesterday, Company 2 units responded to a first due structure fire.

Units were dispatched at 3:22

Engine 2 with a crew of 5 certified firefighters marked en route at 3:23

Engine 2 arrived at 3:30 to find a large garage heavy involved with fire, 5 cars on fire, multiple fast moving brush fires, and the exterior of the main residence beginning to ignite.

Engine 2, Tanker 2, Tanker 22, Brush 2, and Rescue 2, all operated on scene with other PGFEMS resources for hours and didn’t return fully to service until 2000 hours last night.

Fort Lee Tower 1 operated on scene as well with our automatic mutual aid agreement.

The residence and multiple vehicles were saved during suppression operations.

Burning the Bottle

Members from Company 1 and Company 2 came together for a quick air management drill last night for our weekly training.

Simple, effective, great way to get a sweat on while developing our basic skills. Understanding performance and stress management in a non stop physical environment prepares our volunteers for game day

Members ran this evolution multiple times until completely out of air. Building confidence in our self contained breathing apparatus’.
