The Dodge Center Ambulance Service began operations in August of 1974. With a dedicated staff of full-time, part-time, and paid-on-call, the service continues to thrive today. Our mission to provide a vital public safety service has not changed, though our technology and equipment have. Staffing & Equipment
The Dodge Center Ambulance Service operates two Advanced Life Support (ALS) capable ambulances and 1 Quick Response Vehicle (QRV). All emergency vehicles are equipped with LIFEPAK 15’s, Lucas Devices, Video Laryngoscopes, Stryker Power-Load Cots, and much more! We are a part-time ALS, all 911 emergency ambulance service. We have a staff of EMR’s, EMT’s, Paramedics, and RN’s. The service is maintained by an Ambulance Director, an Assistant Director/Training Coordinator, 3 Full time EMT's/Paramedics, 1 part-time Paramedic, and numerous paid-on-call staff. Service Area
Our Primary Service Area (PSA) covers over 14,000 residents in Dodge County including the cities of Dodge Center, Kasson, Mantorville, and Claremont. In 2021, we responded to over 1,100 emergency calls for service. We provide ALS mutual aid with other nearby ambulance services. When responding to emergencies, we work closely with the Dodge Center Fire Department, Kasson Fire Department, Mantorville Fire Department, and the Claremont Fire Department, as they serve as first responders to medical and traumatic emergencies. In addition, we have an outstanding working relationship with the Dodge County Sheriff’s office, their deputies and dispatchers. In the City of Kasson, we enjoy a great working relationship with the Kasson Police Department and their officers as well.

Serving our communities with quality, reliable, and sustainable ambulance service drives everything we do. National Night Out is just one of the many ways we connect with those we serve. We most especially enjoy the times with the youth in our service area.

Last night we were so grateful to attend the Dodge County Board session to meet with Bryan Sorensen and hear his story and help him recognize and thank the incredible team that responded on Bryan's worst day.

Victims of sudden cardiac arrest have less than a 10% chance of survival nationally. Factors such as early recognition / calling 911, early high quality CPR and defibrillation, and early advanced life support care all increase odds of survival.

From the Dispatchers, Deputies, Firefighters, Paramedics and EMTs, all added to the successful resuscitation after Bryan's heart suddenly stopped that cold spring afternoon.
