The mission of the Dodge City Public Library is to provide resources and services necessary to meet the evolving educational, recreational and informational needs of the community. During National Friends of the Library Week, Dodge City Public Library would like to thank our amazing Friends of the Library group! The Friends of Dodge City Public Library support the library by sponsoring many of our Summer Library Program events, assisting with purchases of furniture and program supplies, raising funds for upgrades, advocating for the library, and so much more.

Want to support the Friends of the Library? Here is how you can help!
📚Attend the Friends Book Sales on the first Saturday and third Thursday of the month. All items are available with a freewill donation.
📚Visit the Book Nook on the upper level of the library and leave a freewill donation at the front desk for any items you want to take home.
📚Donate any good, clean-condition media items you no longer need -- the Friends accept books, music CDs, audiobooks, DVDs and Blu-Rays, and magazines.
📚Connect with a Friends member to learn more about the Friends and their mission to support the library.

Join us with Huascar Medina, the Poet Laureate of Kansas between 2019-2022, as he performs a poetry reading for his new book, "Protest as Love Poem." Huascar will visit DCPL on Friday, October 23 from 5:30-6:30pm. There will be books and art posters available for purchase, as well as a 15-minute Q&A session after the performance!
