Ford County, let’s take the 40-Gallon Challenge!

💧Water conservation is more important now than ever before. The Ogallala Aquifer is a primary water source for western Kansas, but it is being used faster than it can recharge. Every one of us can play a part in protecting this important resource.

The 40-Gallon Challenge is a simple way to get started. Take the pledge to conserve at least 40 gallons of water each day by choosing conservation practices that work for you and your household.

It may seem like a small contribution, but small changes can add up. If every household in Kansas saved 40 gallons a day, we could conserve approximately 48 million gallons of water every day!

💧Take the pledge and see what changes you can make at home:

💧Every gallon counts. Let’s see what Ford County can save!
