The DREAM. LEARN. LEAD. Torch was passed to our cafeteria team: Mrs. Shanita Vessel, Ms. Shantel Joseph, and Ms. Sheila Musco.
These dedicated ladies had to adapt quickly when our cafeteria was moved to the cluster room due to major renovations. Despite the sudden shift, they ensured our daily lunch shifts ran smoothly, making the impossible possible for our students.
Through it all, they haven't complained once or even asked when the cafeteria renovations will be finished. Whenever you see them, they always have a smile on their faces—a true reflection of their passion for their work and their deep love for our students.
We want to say a huge thank you for everything you do. This Torch was designed for people just like you. Continue to stay and for our students daily! The DREAM. LEARN. LEAD. Torch has been passed to Mr. Latrent White!
A dedicated paraprofessional at Donaldsonville High School for over a decade, Mr. White exemplifies excellence every single day. During a recent walkthrough in an Algebra I class, I watched him assist a student with graphing. If I hadn't known the staff, I wouldn't have been able to tell who was the certified teacher and who was the paraprofessional—his instruction was just that seamless and impactful.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. White serves as our Assistant Band Director. His deep dedication to our students and his partnership with Mr. Warren have elevated our football halftime field shows to an amazing level. Affectionately known by many as the "hype man" of DHS, he continuously lives up to the title with his unmatched energy and spirit.
On behalf of the administrative team, thank you, Mr. White, for choosing DHS and for consistently maximizing opportunities for our students. and let’s MAXIMIZE!
