I find it intriguing how many family connections there are with the different plantations in our local area. This week I have been involved with historian Darrell Ourso deciphering the newspaper article in the first image posted by John Mahat Marchand. This research is on the Bouchereau Family that lived on Belle Terre Plantation which was once owned by the Lemann Family of Palo Alto Plantation.

Paul Bouchereau (brother of Emelia Bouchereau that was married to James Dodds) was the Field Manager of Palo Alto at one time.

Fascinating how both the Bouchereau mom and daughter lived to be in their 90s...
