🗣 “When I was 18, I was in Norfolk and saw the Comfort and thought, one day I really want to be on that ship. I became a nurse, got my experience, and everything lined up perfectly. I got in touch with World Hope International and they got me as a volunteer to come on the ship. My favorite part has been going to the medical sites, I wanted to come help people who aren’t as fortunate. It’s a dream I’ve had for the past six years and it finally came true.”

Me puse en contacto con World Hope International y ellos me tomaron como voluntaria para venir en el buque. Bringing hope to Tradewinds 2022: DoD, NFE Planning Assures Western Hemisphere Prosperity 05/12/2022

Amazing integration and effort by USSOUTHCOM PPC Branch and NGO partner World Hope International into USSOUTHCOM’s Caribbean focused exercise, TRADEWINDS 22!

“NFE involvement in not only the Tradewinds exercise, but also in the planning phase is important,” Bostick said. “It takes a village. It’s not all about a uniform. It’s a team effort – Department of Defense, civilians, contractors, NFEs – so much of what we do is all-hands-on-deck.”

Word Hope International’s participation and support to this exercises enhances our regions ability to respond to disasters in a whole-of-society effort!

TWO ORGANIZATIONS COLLABORATE TO ADDRESS CRUCIAL NEEDS CAUSED BY THE DEVASTATING LANDFALL OF HURRICANES ETA AND IOTA IN HONDURAS.

Last year, underwent extreme turmoil when Hurricanes Eta and Iota made landfall. As a result, PPC engaged with its NFE partners to identify ways to assist with the response efforts.

PPC’s partner NGO Global Brigades identified crucial needs in the medical sector in the San Pedro Sula Valley and other affected areas of Honduras- NGO MAP International stepped up to the call and quickly worked a solution with Global Brigades to fulfill the gaps identified. MAP International made a generous donation of stethoscope, medication, and PPE; this support was crucial for Global Brigades’ medical volunteers to provide aid to 13 affected communities in Honduras, assisting more than 7,000 citizens! The impact of this collaborative effort can be appreciated by the amazing pictures sent to us by Global Brigades.

We are proud to be a conduit for new relationships and honored to assist our partners in expanding their network. We love when our NFE partners support one another to solve an issue at hand!
