This week, the Princess of Wales, through her work with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, visited the birthplace of the Reggio Emilia approach, the educational philosophy at the heart of everything we do at KLA Schools.

Her visit is more than a diplomatic moment. It is a global acknowledgment that how we educate our children matters deeply.

The Reggio Emilia approach is rooted in a profound belief: that children are capable, curious, and full of potential from the very beginning. It centers creativity, listening, and the understanding that learning happens through relationships with peers, educators, families, and the environment itself.

As Francesco Profumo, President of Fondazione Reggio Children, put it: in an era of major technological and social transformation, starting anew with children means starting anew with the future.

At KLA, we carry this philosophy into every classroom, every atelier, every moment of wonder. Knowing that the world is watching and affirming its value only deepens our commitment.

Early childhood education isn’t just important. It’s everything. 🩵

Join us this Friday for our annual Art Exhibit, showcasing creations from our artists… our amazing children! You will experience graphics, clay, wire, and more. The children have worked all year in the Atelier, the heart of our school. Our Art Exhibit also promotes the Dani Girl Foundation. We hope to see you there!

We enjoyed field trips as part of Earth Week!

Our exotic animal show was a blast! As part of our Earth Week Celebration, we welcome our favorite animal caretaker Mr. Robert to show and teach us about many unique animal species! We touched and felt a 50-year old tortoise, a baby alligator, python, honey badger, and our favorite friend, Bobo the cockatoo!

Teachers are learners, too! 🍎 Last week, our team participated in Study Groups, a special twice-a-year opportunity where teachers, coordinators, and consultants from multiple schools gather to collaborate, share classroom projects, and dive deep into pedagogical research.

By connecting with others from their age group, our teachers bring fresh inspiration and innovative ideas back to our classrooms. We are incredibly proud of our teachers who stepped up to lead presentations and share the amazing things our students have been up to!
