The Heitt project is a not-for-profit organization that collects warm socks for the homeless and poor of Boston and surrounding communities. Harsh, cold winters put these children, women and men at risk for frostbite and other cold injuries. Warm socks are a basic clothing item that many of us take for granted but can mean a lot to someone who must live in harsh conditions on the street, in a car or in a shelter.
