Kicking off summer at Carson Beach!

Last week, MissionSAFE youth spent time together at Carson Beach, enjoying the warm weather, building friendships, and simply getting the chance to be kids. Because of your support, young people have access to safe spaces, positive connections, and experiences that promote joy, community, and belonging.

MissionSAFE youth recently participated in Horizon Broadening’s college visit and career exploration program, where they explored future pathways through resume building, career research, and college exploration.

Because of your support, young people are gaining the tools, confidence, and exposure needed to envision and pursue their futures. Experiences like these help open doors and create opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

Last week, MissionSAFE youth took part in Take Back the Kitchen, learning how to make chicken and shrimp pasta while building valuable life skills in the kitchen. 🍝

Because of your support, young people have access to hands-on experiences that promote confidence, creativity, healthy choices, and teamwork. Programs like this go beyond cooking, they help youth develop skills that support their well-being, independence, and future success.

Together, we celebrated 26 years of MissionSAFE standing alongside young people from Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mission Hill. Because of your support, the evening was filled with powerful youth performances, moving stories, and a shared commitment to creating safer, stronger futures.

We were especially proud to honor and recognize Kayla Clouden-McGill, whose journey is a testament to perseverance and possibility, reflecting the very impact you help make every day.

The evening also celebrated Humanitarian Award recipients Damon Hart and Nicole Obi, recognizing their leadership and unwavering commitment to uplifting our communities.
