The Dorris Lions Club is proud to invite you to our annual Veterans Day FREE Dinner!

Join us as we come together to honor and thank the brave men and women who have served our country, our active duty military, and our dedicated first responders. 🇺🇸

🍽️ Enjoy a delicious, home-cooked meal, wonderful company, and an evening filled with gratitude and community spirit!

📍 Butte Valley Community Center – Dorris, CA

🕓 Doors open at 4 PM

🇺🇸 ROTC Color Guard Ceremony at 5 PM, with dinner to follow.

FREE for all Veterans, active duty military, and first responders!

❤️ Family, friends, and community members are warmly encouraged to attend! Community guest dinners are just $10.

For 80 years, the Dorris Lions Club has been proud to serve our community, and this is one of the most meaningful events we host.

We still have a huge selection of books and DVDs available to celebrate the last day of our Give Like Dolly Days event. Our fabulous volunteer Librarians added even more, so today would be a great day to visit the Butte Valley Library. See you soon!

Today is Dolly Parton Day! The state of California proclaimed 9-2-5, September 25, as a way to pay tribute to the global icon and champion of early literacy who passed away last month at the age of 80. The specific day, 9/25, pays homage to the film “9 to 5” which starred Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

The Dollywood Foundation is marking 9/25 as “Give Like Dolly Day,” encouraging people to supporting children and communities like Dolly did. Because of your support, 22,700 children in Santa Clara County receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Your generosity helps bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations and create special moments between children and the people who love them.

Thank you State Farm and NVFC for our Good Neighbor Fire Safety Grant. Thanks to this $10K grant we will be able to purchase a brand new hose compliment for our E-1810to replace our 27+ year old fire hose. Pictured are our happy volunteers and elected board of directors Thank you from community!
